Hi friends and family,

I hope you're doing well! 

My name is Jess, and I'm a mama to two incredible humans. I am also a soap maker at heart, and the founder behind Rabbit Soaps.

Alongside my kids and my wonderful fiancé Josh, I’m lucky to call beautiful Vancouver Island home.

My soap-making journey began back in 2014, when my sister Amy brought me to a workshop while I was six months pregnant. I knew I couldn’t jump in fully at the time, but something about it stayed with me, and the seed was planted.

Fast forward to 2023. Amy gently told me that I "needed to get a hobby," as I was driving her nuts. I tried crocheting, knitting, painting, just about every craft under the sun, but nothing quite clicked. That’s when I found my way back to soap making.

This time, it stuck.

What started as curiosity quickly turned into a passion. I fell in love with the process, the creativity, and the intention behind each bar. Today, I pour my heart into crafting small-batch, handmade soaps that are thoughtfully made, free from harmful ingredients, and created with care.

When I’m not making soap, you’ll usually find me in the garden growing herbs, flowers, and dreaming up ways to use as many homegrown ingredients as possible. From flower petals to herbs… and yes, even a failed loofah experiment (we’ll try again next year).

You’ll also occasionally see Josh in the workshop, helping stamp soaps...which officially makes him my only other employee. He takes the job very seriously.
